GOOD USED CONDITION. This was removed from a rebuilt transmission that had approximately 40K. Vacuum tested. Only one available. NEW ONES ARE NLA, and Mercedes has informed us they will no longer be made. This is the GREEN transmission vacuum modulator found on most of the models listed above. This unit has been upgraded from the original for better shifting performance and easier adjustment. The new version has a stronger and more efficient vacuum containment chamber, and the thrust pin length and material were modified in order to eliminate fluctuations in pin length during extreme temperature changes. Internal spring tension has been increased to improve cold start shifts from 1st to 2nd gear and reduce flaring when shifting between 3rd and 4th gear. There are other things that can cause problems with poor shifting, so there is no guarantee this new part will fix them. But due to the cost and ease of installation, this is a good place to start.

How do you know if you have the old type? It is also green but has a soft rubber black cap over the adjustment pin. It also has a much longer thrust pin that is easier to break during removal as shown below.
The upgraded modulator has a hard white plastic cap and the thurst pin is much shorter and almost impossible to break during removal and installation of the modulator.
