For models with D-Jetronic Fuel Injection systems that have the original fuel delivery system still intact.

Original fuel filters for these models do NOT come with the right-angle fitting that attaches to the filter inlet (see pictures below). On some occasions, this fitting is missing or rusted beyond use. In that case, you will need a new fitting, but the original fittings are no longer available. But we can provide you with an updated banjo fitting, which we believe works even better than the original. You can purchase this fitting with a new Bosch filter, shown here, or you can purchase the fitting separately in the related products below.

Testing fuel pressure is a simple procedure on the D-Jetronic engines, but it is ABSOLUTELY essential. If your fuel pressure is off even a few pounds, it will dramatically change the fuel mixture, and your engine will end up running too rich or too lean.

This is your best option if the original fitting is lost or rusted so badly you can not re-use it.

The original fuel filter has a rigid right-angle fitting, as shown in the pictures below. We do not provide this fitting in our fuel delivery kits as more often than not it can be removed from your old filter and installed in the new filter we provide.
