If you find your old diesel slow to start after it has been parked overnight or for extended periods, the problem could be a loss of fuel in the injection pump. Let's face it. Some of these high-mileage diesel engines are still running, but they are "tired." As the injection pump and lift pumps wear, they can allow fuel to "leak back." Then, when you go to start the engine, it takes a while for the injection pump to build pressure for the injectors.

This is a combination one-way check valve and right-angle pre-filter that Kent assembles in the shop with quality fuel hose and high-pressure pinch clamps (they won't allow air to enter the system). This can be easily installed in place of your current pre-filter. Be sure to pinch off the fuel hose coming from the tank before disconnecting from your old pre-filter. Cut your existing hose to length and install it with the new clamps provided. (see pinch clamps below)
