If you have a VERY slow leak in your Airmatic Mercedes, trying to find it can be very frustrating. It could be in the valve block, one of the lines, or the Airmatic strut itself. Small leaks in the strut can be the hardest to find if you cannot hear it. Kent found the best way to test is to pressurize the strut with a valve and gauge and see if the pressure drops. Watch the video below to see how it works.
Product Details
In early 2025, we introduced version 2. We are now only selling the fully assembled and tested unit here in our shop. We install the airmatic fitting on the end of the hard line for you and include a spare (as you can see in the picture). This fitting must go into the strut's top for pressure testing. The fitting is 8mm in diameter. You may be able to adapt this tester to a larger fitting, but you would be on your own. Comes with limited video instructions. You will need a compressor that can produce a minimum of 90 PSI.
NOTE: There is one thing we do not include that you will have to supply. We DO NOT supply the female 1/4 NPT air fitting. There are differences, so you need to provide the one that will match up to your compressor.
