This is an old Stanadyne metal filter housing mounted on brackets that was bolted into a W116 300SD. The bracket would need to be modified to fix in a W123 or W126. We converted it to have a glow plug installed in the bottom of the filter to heat the vegetable oil.
This filter and head assembly was used briefly on a diesel engine running WVO. I cannot guarantee the filter's condition as it has been sitting for about 10 years. The head and fittings are good and the internal heater works.
What you see here in new old stock. It is very hard now to find these inline heaters. I don't even think this heater is made anymore. You will need a separate power relay to drive this heater ( about 15 amp draw) and an inline fuse or circuit braker and a switch to turn it on and off.

New Fuel tank sending unit o ring. If you need to remove your sending unit to test or clean, it is a good idea to replace o-ring.

Use this special swedge fittings when making any type of copper coil coolant heater for our SVO WVO fuel system. One end of this fitting clamps down tight on the copper pipe and the other end can accept any standard fitting with 1/4 inch male national pipe thread.

If you drive your 116, 123 or 126 (SEDANS ONLY - WILL NOT FIT WAGON) diesel in cold weather and use the factory fuel tank for your SVO WVO fuel it is advisable to enlarge the fuel tank outlet for better fuel flow.
This Special Brass fitting can be used when making a electric boost heater for biodiesel or vegetable oil fuel conversions. It CAN NOT be installed in a diesel cylinder head. It can be used in the fuel system with all diesel engines that have been converted to SVO.
