1980 450sl heater / ac problems
I have a 1980 450sl and just replaced water pump thermostat and servo unit and catilytic converter and left and right side pipes. Runs gr8 but when i turn on a/c it starts out ice cold working well and blowing fine, but after about 5 to 10 mins it starts to blow heat. wondering if you might can tell me what to look for. tks MCTurner

W107 500SL Phantom Low Oil Warning
My 88 500SL has recently started giving a Low Oil Level warning, usually after 20 minutes of motorway driving, but when checking the oil level, it's perfect!
The oil and filter are less than 500 miles old, so my question is could there be a blockage in the oilways somewhere causing the sump to run dry. Has anybody else had this problem?

I've just bought an 89 500SL which needs the front indicator bulb changing, but can't see how I access it. Do I have to remove the whole front headlamp assembly? Many thanks.

380SL idles high
1983 380SL IDles high, real high. Have tried several things from fuses to idle modules. But from reading the ignition swithch easy install kit, it seems the problem may be in the switch. When inspecting that area i discovered a wire spliced into the harness at the steering wheel. Placed a prob in line and it lights when starting the car. Also the heater blower motor is not functioning and the right side lights on high beam are out as well. I have no dash lights and the tach is not working.

560SL squeeling noise
I have a 1986 sl. When I start quickly from a stop, I get a loud squeeling noise coming from underneath the car. If I start out slowly I don't hear it. I also get it when I accerlerate to pass someone. I thought it was a fanbelt problem, but it isn't. It's been going on for years and does not affect the performance of the car

Need help to decide the oil to use on my 280 sl 1985 euro model. I rencently bought. Don't know the millage but easily over 200,000. Is not running, but soon will be. Based on the millage, year, engine 110 model. Any recomendation about motor oil and automatic transmission? Thanks
