Kent designed this set of tools to easily pry off the C-clip holding the fluid tank onto the power steering pump, AND to put it back on after replacement. This can be nearly impossible without these tools. The clip comes off and goes back on VERY HARD. You have limited space to work in, and you can't do it with your fingers. This includes 1000s of engines in many different models, and most of them we see have never had the power steering fluid and filter changed. The filter is integral with the reservoir, so it is not possible to change just the filter. If you watch the video below, you will learn there is another reason to remove and replace the tank

This shows you how the curved tool removes the clip. You do not need to pry to start backing the clip off ( as sometimes there is not enough room). Instead, you keep pushing the tool, and it will pull the clip out without prying.
Getting the clip back on can become a big wrench dance because most of the time, you can not see what you are doing, and fingers don't help much. You can not push it on with your fingers. You will end up dropping it into the engine compartment, where you can't find it. The clip holds tight to the insertion tool, so it will not easily drop off. You can reach down with one hand ( use a mirror if needed) to get the clip started. Use a pry bar or a long screw driver to place up against the body frame and pry to the other end of the tool to get the clip to snap in place.
