Of course, you want to change this if you find oil leaking out the bottom onto your drive belt, but it can also leak internally, allowing coolant to get into your engine oil or vice versa. 272273
Replace this seal at 100K to prevent dirt from entering your engine. 272273
Do not wait until this fails, or your engine may throw the belt and cause other damage. At least it will leave you stranded. INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT included here, but they are included with our belt and pulley replacement kit. See below to order separately. 272273
These 6-minute video instructions are now included with Kent's basic and deluxe Version 3 fuel injection pressure tester.
PLEASE do not order in error! Check your engine first with the cover off. It should look exactly like the one you see in the picture below. LH-Jetronic fuel injection is electronic, so it does not require a fuel accumulator at the car's back end.
Watch the video below to get a "feel" for what these can do. The M103 is notorious for fouling spark plugs - mainly due to oil getting by the hardened valve stem seals. This was a problem when these engines were new and only had 60,000 to 80,000 miles on them.
Genuine Mercedes new part a shown, but does have some shelf wear. This has been sitting in a dark and dry garage for about 20 years. It was mounted on an engine out of the car but not run. But it was put together with the housing and then taken apart.
When removing the upper radiator hose for engine service, such as replacing the electronic thermostat or the seal on the back side of the oil cooler, you will have to remove the upper radiator hose.
Would you like to make your 560SL engine compartment look like new again. This part is one of the biggest offenders as they all turn this weird yellow color, making it appear old and fading.
Would you like to make your 107 engine compartment look like new again. This part is one of the biggest offenders as they all turn this weird yellow color, making it appear old and fading. Cap is not included.
Cleaning the throttle body on 1998 to 2013 V6 and V8 engines can yield amazing results with improved idle, power, acceleration, and fuel economy. To do it, you must remove the MAF and the intake elbow that attaches to the throttle body on the back of the intake manifold.
Why is this not regularly done? Why don't a lot of shops recommend it? The results can be dramatic with regard to engine smoothness, acceleration, and fuel economy. What about the reports it can damage the engine?
In this 5-minute demonstration video, Kent will show you how to replace the exhaust hangers on a 2010 W221 S550. This is an easy DIY job and should be done at your 100,000-mile inspection. 272273
In this 14-minute instructional video, Kent will show you all the components of the engine's air injection system, how to inspect and test them individually, and how they work in concert with each other. This is definitely something you would want to add to your own 100,000 inspection.
In this 10-minute video, Kent will explain the operation of these two valves on top of the front of the engine, how to test them, and how easy it is to replace them. If you are having problems with your electric air pump wearing out prematurely, the problem may be these valves. 272273
Why is this not regularly done? Why don't a lot of shops recommend it? The results can be dramatic with regard to engine smoothness, acceleration, and fuel economy. Watch the video below, and Kent will explain the kit contents in detail.
These get hard with age. Even though they may "look" ok, they may no longer be soft enough to reduce transmitting engine vibrations through to the body. Eight total are required, as shown. Two up forward, two in the center, and four in the rear (two on each side at the tips). 272273
If you are doing a complete power steering flush you will need to have 2 liters on hand. It will take approximately 1.5 liters to flush all the old fluid out of the system. If you want to do this service on your Benz, please see related products below for our 40K service kit. 272273
In this extensive and highly detailed 32-minute video, Kent will walk you through the procedures of extracting power steering fluid out of your old tank and installing a new tank without spilling fluid all over your engine compartment.
You do the throttle body cleaning service, and you might be surprised at the results. When does this ever get done? I have experienced smoother idle, less stumbling, more power and better fuel economy from just doing this easy and inexpensive service. Plan to replace this seal every 80K miles
In this 14-minute instructional video, Kent will show you how to access the MAF sensor and correctly clean it with the proper spray cleaner. This cleaner can be picked up at any auto parts store but must be specific for mass air flow sensors.
In this 11-minute instructional video, Kent will show you how to correctly remove the intake elbow ( with mass airflow sensor), install a new seal that connects to the intake manifold, and replace the entire assembly back on the engine.
You will get 2 Premium German oil filters for optimum performance with synthetic oil, including all seals, one all-aluminum deep filter wrench, and one aviation-grade lint-free cloth to clean out the oil filter housing.
For 1973 owners: make sure your cap matches the one in the picture ( all orange). Wires are soft and flexible. You can see very little wear inside the cap.

For E430, ML430, E500, E55. S500, CL500, and SL500 through 2003. Every M112 V8 I have worked on starts making front engine bearing noise around 90K to 100K. Almost like clockwork! This is a service you will want to perform whether you have had your Benz for a long time or just purchased one.
We love the quality of Bremi wires. Kent prefers them on his own cars. We even throw in some silicone grease and show you how to apply it.
Kent designed this set of tools to easily pry off the C-clip holding the fluid tank onto the power steering pump, AND to put it back on after replacement. This can be nearly impossible without these tools. The clip comes off and goes back on VERY HARD.
Kent finally got so frustrated trying to get these oil caps off that he came up with this new tool he chose to call the wrist saver. Watch the video to see this unique tool in action.
