M272 V6 M273 V8 Drive Belt and Pulley Replacement Kit w/ Kent's Tool

SPECIAL! Like clockwork, these parts always show signs of wear at 80,000 to 100,000 miles. Replace them BEFORE they actually fail and leave you stranded.

Yes, that is correct. These are the same parts on all 272 V6 and 273 V8 from 2006 to 2013. That is a few million cars that are now all aging, and many have not had these parts replaced. I am not sure why many shops do not even recommend this service before something fails! WARNING!

M272 M273 Drive Belt Tensioner with Pulley

Replace at 100K, even if it looks ok!

Do not wait until this fails, or your engine may throw the belt and cause other damage. At least it will leave you stranded. INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT included here, but they are included with our belt and pulley replacement kit. See below to order separately. 272273

2006 to 2013 M272 V6 Oil Separator Replacement Kit

Includes both normal and high-speed V6 oil separators with extras. Should be changed every 40,000 to 50,000 miles.

How do you know if these parts need replacing? If you have driven 50,000 miles since it was installed or last changed then it needs to be done to prevent oil from entering your intake manifold.

M272 V6 Rubber Breather Hose Replacement Kit

Fits all M272 V6 engines from 2006 to 2013. Replace them when they become hard or cracked.

I recommend that the oil separators on the M272 and M273 engines  be changed every 40K miles to prevent excess oil from entering your intake manifold.

M272 V6 Thermostat DIY Replacement Kit

Common failure item. Change at 40,000 to 50,000 miles to avoid problems. Video Instructions included.

Failure is more common and happens more often with these thermostats due to the internal temperature probe that goes down through the center of the housing. It is much better to replace this as a preventative measure to prevent engine overheating.

M272 V6 and M273 V8 Upper Radiator Hose O-ring Seal x 4

All 2005 to 2015 272 273 engines with electronic thermostat as shown below.

When removing the upper radiator hose for engine service, such as replacing the electronic thermostat or the seal on the back side of the oil cooler, you will have to remove the upper radiator hose.

2005 to 2013 M272 V6 Intake Elbow to Throttle Body Orange Seal

This is neglected on almost every newer gas engine I see. Replace this during throttle body inspection and cleaning.

You do the throttle body cleaning service, and you might be surprised at the results. When does this ever get done? I have experienced smoother idle, less stumbling, more power, and better fuel economy from just doing this easy and inexpensive service.

M272 M278 OEM Oil Filter Housing to Oil Cooler Gasket

If you don't change this as a preventative measure, you risk mixing coolant and engine oil together!

Of course, you want to change this if you find oil leaking out the bottom onto your drive belt, but it can also leak internally, allowing coolant to get into your engine oil or vice versa. 272273

1998 to 2013 V6 and V8 Air Induction and Fuel Injector Cleaning Kit

Absolutely the best "bang for the buck" performance DIY tweak - M112, M113, M272 and M273 specific but can work on any throttle body fuel injected engine.

Why is this not regularly done?  Why don't a lot of shops recommend it? The results can be dramatic with regard to engine smoothness, acceleration, and fuel economy. Watch the video below, and Kent will explain the kit contents in detail.
